data protection

Dear customers of the Irantia Light Academy,

I am sure you have already heard that on 25 May 2018 the new EU General Data Protection Regulation (DSGVO) will become legally effective. Of course, we have always kept your information confidential and used only for specific purposes. Nevertheless, we have made in the course of the new DSGVO some changes in our privacy policy. In it we will now inform you in more detail about how irantia.com deals with personal data.

We specifically answer the following questions:

• What data do we use?

• How do we use this data?

• What do we need this data for?

• Who receives your information from us?

• How do we secure your information?

• What rights do you have as a user?

Transparency is important to us! That's why we use the simplest possible language in our privacy policy. In doing so, we ensure that we also provide comprehensive information to those who come into contact with the subject of data protection for the first time.

In this context, we also adapt our terms and conditions. These are now clearer and adapted to current standards. You will soon be asked to accept them when you log on to irantia.com. So you can make sure in just a few clicks that you can continue to use popular features.

The most important information

I. What datas will be used by us??

Direct input of plain data. If you register with us or create an account or use services such as the newsletter or our support contact form, we will ask you for personal information about the forms that are recognizable and directly related to you or your identity (so-called clear data ).

This clearing data includes in particular e-mail address, as well as paid services and other contact information (name, postal address, telephone number), order, delivery and payment data. In addition, you can voluntarily make other personal information about you, which of course also be saved for you, for example in your user profile. Posts (eg postings, comments or pictures) that you enter or upload and contain personal details about you are of course also saved and published.

Data privacy sensitive data (so-called special categories of data according to Article 9 GDPR - about state of health, ethnicity, world view, genetics, intimacy), we ask at any point from.

Data enrichment. We sometimes enrich your dataset with our own observations, but only with regard to assumed interests and only insofar as this is described in more detail later in this privacy policy. An example: if you have participated in several campaigns or subscribed to newsletters on a topic, we suspect that you have an interest in similar actions and topics and supplement your record with it.

Data provision by third parties. In some cases, personal data is also provided to us by third parties when using individual functions or services. This is the case, for example, if you use a sign-in service to log in to our service, such as Facebook or Google.

Pseudonym data. In addition, data that has no direct reference to you as a person (so-called pseudonymized data) is also processed. Pseudonymized means that you could recognize yourself or your computer or browser under an ID ("pseudonym"), but with usual means you can not find out who exactly you are or how to contact you. In other words: Pseudonyms are not played with clear data such as name or e-mail address, simply because in this case we do not need to know more than necessary.

This applies, for example, if we want to find out which pages of our service are particularly frequently clicked and which ones are not, or if we do not want to constantly display the same things to a user.

Pseudonyms are also used to create usage profiles of third-party providers or advertising partners (so-called third parties) that are integrated into the advertising banners within this service. Some of them also work beyond our service on other apps or websites.

If you want to know more about individual things, we have put together the details for you below.

II. Why will these datas be processed?

The processing of personal data is mainly for the following purposes or due to the following legitimate interests:

to individualize: not to constantly propose or display the same contributions and banners, and possibly only those that are likely to interest you;

to comply with legal requirements, in particular commercial and fiscal retention obligations, and any obligation to provide information to authorities and to prosecute, defend or enforce claims, including the exercise and enforcement of our 'digital home rights'.

fraud prevention, verification of a given delivery address and credit check, the outcome of which we may make dependent on what payment options we offer you;

for the maintenance of the customer relationship and direct marketing on our own behalf as well as for our sponsors, cooperation partners or other third parties, both by ourselves and partly on our own responsibility by the respective third party;

to place and settle your order to offer things such as newsletters and contests, or to make user-friendly features such as uploading or commenting on content;

to safeguard operations: to detect and ward off attack patterns and uncover system faults to prevent you from receiving emails from us against your will;

for optimization: to find out what our users are particularly excited about statistically and what not and what else might be improved when using our services;

for financing: to place banners for advertisers according to the order and to pay our editors, photographers, technicians, etc. with the advertising revenues and to keep our offer free of charge for you as far as possible;

for personalization: to be able to address you in your newsletter or on other occasions with your name, to congratulate you on your birthday, or to include other topics, content and banners specifically tailored to you in the services.

The processing of your personal data is carried out lawfully on the basis of the EU data protection regulation, namely - depending on the case - concretely on the basis of your consent (eg when sending a newsletter), a contract with you (eg if our terms and conditions) or pre-contractual, to comply with legal or regulatory requirements and / or after weighing up legitimate interests in individual cases (eg when using our platform) (see DSGVO Article 6 paragraph 1 letters a), b), c) and f)).

As far as we process personal data on the basis of a consent or due to a balance of legitimate interests, we do this only as long as you do not contradict or revoke the consent. Since we technical data can not be merged with pseudonyms and legally not allowed, a uniform overall contradiction against all processing is not feasible. Further details on revocation and contradiction are explained below in the details of the respective processing.

III. Will these datas go to someone else?

Irantia.com relinquishes the commercial disclosure of your data (sale, rental) to third parties and does not operate address trading.

But there are things that others can do better than we do. That's why we turned on a few service providers. With some we stand as a company in a group of companies, with others we are only related to business. Some service providers will need or be able to access personal data. This applies in particular to the IT technology with which we maintain, monitor and analyze our services or individual functionalities and offers. In addition, this concerns u. a. Billing and shipping of orders as well as the collection of due invoices.

We assign all our service providers in strict compliance with the provisions of the EU General Data Protection Regulation in writing and, for example, also explain technical and organizational measures with which the service providers protect the personal data entrusted to them against misuse.

Irantia.com exclusively operates servers in Germany. Some of our IT service providers are not based in the EU or the European Economic Area (EEA) or store and process personal data there. Insofar as the same level of data protection as in Germany does not exist in these areas in the opinion of the EU Commission, we always insist on the guarantees required under data protection law for such a foreign transfer. As a rule, this is the conclusion of a data protection contract stipulated by the EU Commission (so-called EU standard contractual clauses), especially in the case of transfers to the USA the participation of the service provider in the so-called EU-US.-Privacy-Shield.

In some cases, we also provide data to third parties while observing the data protection regulations, which then process the data on our own responsibility. These include, for example, the services of social media providers such as Facebook or Google, for example when you sign up with these access data or share and share with us such content as Twitter or Pinterest.

Further details are explained below in the details.

The individual data processing in detail

To give you an easier overview, we have structured the exact details of the data processing according to whether data use concerns individual functions or services on our site that either we or a third party provide or operate, or whether it is about analysis and evaluations that we use on a pseudonymous basis for primarily internal purposes or that are used for the marketing of banners and ads on our site or are used for participants of our partners.
